The painting was painted by the romanticist artist John Trumbull. The 190 year old work of art measures the size 19 5/8 x 24 1/8 in (49,8 x 61,2 cm) framed: 27 1/2 x 30 7/8 in (69,9 x 78,4 cm) and was painted with oil on canvas. Furthermore, this work of art is included in the Galeria de artă a Universității Yale digital art collection, which belongs to Yale University and is the oldest art museum of a university in the western hemisphere.
