Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, 1760 - cumpătare - imprimare de artă

This detached fresco is from a series of four ovals that were designed by Tiepolo and painted by his workshop for the decoration of the corners of the ceiling of a room in the Palazzo Valle-Marchesini-Sala in Vicenza. The attribute of the vase identifies the allegorical figure as representing Temperance.

Cumpătare was made by the rococo artist Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. The original was painted with the size - Oval, 55 7/8 x 48 in (141,9 x 121,9 cm). Fresca, transferată pe pânză was applied by the artist as the medium of the work of art. Nowadays, the piece of art is included in the Muzeul Metropolitan de Artă colecție de artă în New York City, New York, Statele Unite ale Americii. Giovanni Battista Tiepolo was a male painter, printmaker, whose style was mainly Rococo. The Italian painter lived for a total of ani 74, born in 1696 in Venice, Venezia province, Veneto, Italy and died in the year 1770.
